We are happy to announce our novel engineered antibody to fight canine distemper virus (CDV)! The antibody is composed by two single domain antibodies (sdAb) binding to two non-overlapping neutralizing epitopes on the CDV receptor binding (H) glycoprotein. Beyond exhibiting very potent neutralization profiles, it also protected ferrets from lethal CDV challenge. The study was done in collaboration with the groups of Dimitrios Fotiadis (University of Bern, Switzerland), Patrick Chames (University of Aix Marseille, France) and Bevan Sawatsky (Paul-Ehrlich-Institute, Germany).
